I'm guessing the German automotive passion has been passed down to Brooke as she feels right at home in mom's VW Beetle. Here she is doing her part helping us at the car wash to make sure she has a clean ride:
Camping has become both our way to relax and see as much as we can of this beautiful world and would like to think that Brooke has enjoyed her journeys with us as well. Now that she is 7 months old we do have to find another place for her to sleep in the camper as the infant sleeper regrettably has to be retired....
Other than Brooke more than doubling her weight, let's get to the accomplishments and milestones.
Brooke has been to the ocean several times as well as the desert and has done amazing in all climates and temperatures:
Broke also shows off her Canadian roots while enjoying a nice cold IPA to cool down after a tiring hot day
Speaking of a nice warm place, here is what Brooke does best to beat the heat:
I'm not sure where she gets this trait from.....
She was much happier sitting on the couch.
Or with some simple pillows and a blanket.
Recently Brooke has passed the big milestone of sitting all on her own! She seems pretty happy with herself.
Of course we can't have a Brooke post without some gratuitous shots:
Unfortunately, she was only able to wear these awesome pants a few times before outgrowing them.
An excellent diaper shot.
And the "lets clean the barf off" impromptu sink bath.
One of the many benefits of where we live in Pasadena is the proximity to central park and Brooke's eventual love of swinging.
Trying it out for the first time and not sure if she likes it:
It didn't take long for Brooke to learn the love of swing time in the morning after dropping mom off to work.
Brooke was also happy to show off her skills with Grandma and Grandpa.
One of the reasons for Brooke's name was due to it being water based and we wanted to ensure she was comfortable with all things water. With that in mind, it was time to introduce Brooke to some watersports.
Here she is in her first bathing suit:
Testing it out.
Obviously enjoying it.
Having fun with Grandma
Showing off her new bathing suit.
Another big accomplishment was introducing Brooke to some real food. At six months we thought it was time for something "solid".
I'm not sure where she gets her eating habits....
The great thing about blogs is of course sharing pictures so here are some more of Brooke:All dressed up for dinner.
With the family and family friend Larry.
Helping us with shoping at Costco.Outgrowing her bouncy chair.
Sitting on own....with a little help.
Standing on her own.....with a little help.
Last but not least, posing for the camera.
We consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have Brooke in our lives and couldn't be happier with her accomplishments as well as look forward to each day spent with her.
